CakeBomb v6.5 - About Us!
Credits

CakeBomb is Chris Bingham, Thomas Ridgewell, Rosie Ball, Abi Hunt, Edd Gould, Tom Bown and their friends. Bing codes and manages the site with the help of Amy. Tom and Bing make films whenever they can, or whenever they're told to, featuring all the people listed below (and some more that aren't important enough to mention). The Vault features art and comics by Mina, Rosie and Abi, as well as on-going comics by Tom and Bing.

We all welcome freelance film, design or web work.

TomSka

"Films are great, aren't they? If I had to choose between making films for the rest of my life and eating the most delicious sandwich ever created then I'd probably have to go for the sandwich. But you can rest assured that it would've been a very tough choice to make as I really do enjoy making films and hope to become a director of film or animation in the future."

Bing

"If I had my way, I would live at sea in the 1930s, dealing blackjack with one hand, teasing the trigger of my Chicago Typewriter with the other. I would deal in antique and rare goods with no questions asked, writing my profound thoughts in journal upon journal of scrawl kept under the mahogany desk in my cabin. Of course the ship would have wifi, and an amazing sound system. That's fine, right?"

Rosie

"I'm 70% talk, 100% enthusiasm. I don't know maths or that word stuff too good these days but I draw with bordering unhealthy enthusiasm for themes, fancy dress, and the Katamari franchise. What I do know is that games are cool, films are great, and you can't waste a moment when it could be spent making, playing, planning, watching or anything else free and fun."

Abi

"I was asked to sum up my character in a few lines and I've been finding it difficult. I thought about how I make things; how I spend days and days on them until I think they're right, but that doesn't really define me. Neither does my preference to spend as much time as I can lying on my back staring up at the clouds. Nor does my deep and long-lived dislike for olives. Instead, I'll simply tell you this: I'm a beagle on the facebook dog quiz."

Edd

"I'd like to say something original and witty here, but all I can think of is quotes from cartoons. It's probably a sign I watch too much television, or not enough... Either way I haven't watched the exact right amount. (All too aware of the irony that I used a Futurama quote.)"

Bown

"When I grow up, I want the reputation of Harmony Korine, the charm of Serge Gainsbourg, the audacity of Jean-Luc Godard, the scriptwriting skills of the Coen brothers, the cinematography skills of Anthony Dod Mantle, and Alexandra Dahlström on my arm. But for now, writing Internet skits is totally where it's at."

Wonder-Code Specialist
Amy

"It won't be long before the Internet rules the world, and when that day comes, I'll be in charge."

Colour Druid
John

"You know those crazy old men who you see wearing tin foil hats and three weeks worth of pizza crust crumbs in their long untamed beard while walking down the street muttering to themselves about how they could save the world from the Zorgatrons if only they hadn't chose their ability to create an abnormal amount of static electricity? That'll be me in about five years."

Minister of Beats
Stephen

"A life without music would be morbid, unless, of course, the skies were a psychedelic spectrum of colour, trees were made of haribo, and people greeted each other in the streets by screaming "Les!" at the top of their lungs."

Series and Recurring Characters

CakeBomb features several on-going comic and film series, and some characters that seem to turn up everywhere.
Captain Baculum

Captain Baculum is a weekly (kind of) comic series written and drawn by Bing. It follows the adventures of the Captain and his crew as they set sail to find answers at the far reaches of the ocean. If you're new, you might want to start at the beginning.

asdfman

asdfman is a comic strip written and drawn by TomSka whenever he feels like it, which nowadays isn't very often. They have since been adapted into short films called asdfmovie and asdfmovie2. You can see them in the film archive. You can also browse the comics on their site.

Eddsworld

Eddsworld is Edd Gould's regular animated series, featuring the adventures of Edd and his housemates Tom (TomSka) and Matt (Hargreaves). You can see all things Eddsworld, and check out the forum on Eddsworld.co.uk.

Kidney John

Kidney John is a non-sequiter comic series written and drawn by John Paine when he's not busy animating.
